We would like to take this opportunity to inform all our members that Raiders Taekwondo Group has shortlisted 2 players to participate in the above-mentioned international games. They are Jaden Lim You Jie (Poom Belt, 14 yrs old) and Joshiah Tan Ray Kern (Poom Belt, 10 yrs old).

Our objective is to expose our players for more competition experience which will help them in their current skills to excel and improve further.

National Taekwondo Kyorugi Championships 2013 - Info is out...

The next upcoming Tournament after PA-STF is 40th National Taekwondo Kyorugi Championships, will be on 23th, 24th Aug 2013(Saturday and Sunday) and 30th Aug and 1st Sept 2013 (Saturday and Sunday) at Toa Payoh  Sports Hall.

As the registration date will be open on 8th July till 12th July, we have to prepare the registration administration work before 8th July 2013. Raiders' Fighters please be at class this week for Mdm Poh Ling's briefing. 


Take note of below info extracted from STF given information: 

12 REGISTRATION
12.1 Registration for the championships will be open from 8 July 13 (Mon) to 12 July 13 (Fri) from 9.30am to 12.00pm and 2.00pm to 3.30pm at the STF office .
12.2 Provide photocopy of participants’ grades and proofs of participants’ ages (for those below 17 years old) are required for verification. Grading cards, blackbelt/poom certificates, birth certificates and passports are acceptable as documentary proofs.
12.3 Submission of in-completed registration form will constitute in disqualification of the participant. Submission after 12 July 13@ 1530 hours will not be accepted.

12.4 Registration Fees : S$20.00 per contestants.


13 PROVISION OF REFEREE AND VOLUNTEER
13.1 All participating teams or clubs are compulsory to provide one qualified National Referee for the tournament.

To be informed, CC office had informed us that the training hall is still under renovation. Therefore 4th May - today's class had been cancelled and we can only resume the training class on 11th May 2013. 

For those registered trainees for Jelutung CC, the office should have already SMS you or your parents to notify the cancellation of class.

STF's Course: Unarmed Combat Course (Level 2)

Those who are planning to go for your Grading promotion from 2nd Poom/Dan to 3rd Poom/Dan, you are encourage to take up this course. Upon passing the exam of this course, you'll be exempted from Self-defence component. 

The Unarmed Combat Course (Level 2) will be held on 18, 19, 25 & 26 May 2013 at the STF National Training Centre.

Upcoming tournament in June: 7th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships

Another tournament is coming in June 2013 -- This time is on Poomsae. The 7th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships will be held on 8 and 9 June 2013 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

Trainees who are interested in participating, please seek for Mdm Poh Ling.

Please do submit your Grading fee and required form to Mdm/Sir ASAP and not later than 17th March 2013 for internal administrative work. Trainee who submit after 17th March deadline will be consider as late submission with additional $15 fee.

2nd SYOF Taekwondo Championships 2013

The 2nd Singapore Youth Olympic Festival (SYOF 2013) Taekwondo Kyorugi Championships will be held on 19 to 23 March 2013 at Anglican High School.

We are keen to send players (14-17 years old) but need qualified Kyorugi Referees to help and commit to be Raiders' Referee representative from 19th Mar till 23rd Mar (5 days). This is the  participation requirement for each club to provide referee, else we are unable to participate this competition,  or "A club will be barred from future participation if its referee fails to fulfil his or her obligations without the approval of the Tournament Chairman".

We have 5 qualified Kyorugi Referees from Raiders. We need the support from all our Referees in order for us to send players for the exposure. We do understand that the event is held on working days and we would greatly appreciate if your can make arrangement to your work schedules so as to render us your support.

Kyorugi referees who are able to commit and render their support, please kindly response to Mdm Poh Ling by 22nd Feb 2013. It will be good if our Referees can commit to all the 5 days event. Otherwise, we would appreciate that our Referees can work among themselves to staggered the duty on each day so that each referees will only need to commit to 1 day each.

We would like to highlight that decision to participate in this event can only be reviewed after the response from our Kyorugi Referees. Interested players who are between 14-17 years old, you may register with Mdm (please provide your exact current weight) and we will conclude and finalised the decision upon our Referees' responses.

Grading result for JAN 2013 - 98.4% PASSED!!!

Congratulations to all our Raiders trainees who went for the recent 147th Centralized Grading sanctioned by Singapore Taekwondo Federation.

Raiders with 129 members participated for this JAN 2013 Grading and we had achieved 98.4% passes. All Colours and Poom belts had passed the grading except for Senior Brown going for 1st Dan Black belt.
