Today... another GOLD medal by Bernice Yap (Jelutung CC). She was the only Fighter from Raiders for today... This is her first participation in Sparring tournament... we can see her desire to win... Great spirit!!

Teacher's Day Greetings

Over the years, both Mdm and Sir have been receiving Teacher's Day Gifts from Trainees of different classes. They have been quietly receiving them with thanks within their heart. This year, Raiders decided to make it open and give thanks to trainees for their thoughts and effort.

Marilyn had made a card each for both Mdm & Sir. The cards brought warmth and love to both of them. They received the cards delightfully and have expressed their happiness from the little hand that created the cards. It was very well done with the fine art work and nice writtings. :)

36th National Pesta Sukan Taekwondo Championships

This year Free Sparring tournament is held at the same location as last year - Yishun Sport Hall.

Time:
Sat - 1:45pm to 7pm
Sun - 9:45am to 7pm

Day 1: 29th Aug (Sat): Young Junior 1 Category, 10 yrs old and below
Day 2: 30th Aug (Sun): Junior Category, 14 to 17 yrs old
Day 3: 5th Sept (Sat): Young Junior 2 Category, 11 to 13 yrs old
Day 4: 6th Sept (Sun): Senior Category, 18 yrs old and above

Free Admission for All. If you are free, do come down to support our Raiders' warriors... and you'll see some good sparring matches... Especially on Day 4 where Senior (Big Brothers & Sisters) are in action...

No training on Sat & Sun Class

Raiders from Jelutung CC & Rivervale CC, please take note that due to National Taekwondo Championship 2009, there will be no training for next two weeks - 29th Aug (Sat), 30th Aug (Sun), 5th Sept(Sat) & 6th Sept (Sun).

If you interested to attend extra class on Wednesday (Blk 588B Montreal Drive) at 8pm, you are most welcome.

NTKD2009 - Raiders' Kyorugi Referees

This year every participating clubs are required to provide Kyorugi Referees for the tournament. Mdm had nominated some Seniors to be the representatives for this event.

List of Black Belters who are the qualified Kyorugi Referee:-
- Jansen, Catherine, Beth, Kit Ying & Benny

As there are some changes on the scoring system, Referees are encourage to attend the special arranged practice session on 29th Aug 09 (Sat) 11:30hrs at Yishun Sport Hall.

TKD Demo - mini NDP Celebration on 1st Aug 09

Last weekend Saturday, our young warriors had performed a great show to the public at this Old Airport road market carpark. It was a TKD Demo performance by 14 kids from Katong Class.
We were invited by Katong CC to perform a TKD Demo for this mini National Day Parade in Mountbatten organised by the Grassroots organisations there. The Guest of honour for that day is our Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
